Tournament Outline
The second season of the Autumn 2007 MasterCard ClubFootball 5-a-side League is the club's friendly 5-a-side competition held on the artificial pitches at the East Gate of Chaoyang Park and at Side Park. The competition begins the week beginning Monday 15th October and runs through to Thursday 29th November 2007. The competition is designed to be played in a spirit of Fair Play, and is open to men’s amateur and corporate teams of all levels.
56 teams play in 7 divisions of 8, with each team playing two matches one day per week over 7 weeks to make a total of 14 matches per side. (For teams who prefer to play at weekends, the ClubFootball Weekend 5-a-side League, kicking off on Sunday 14th October. Please watch this space for details coming soon).
Each match will consist of two halves of 15 minutes, with a 5-minute break for half-time. Matches are held every Mon, Tue, Wed and Thurs from 20:00pm – 22:30 pm. From an evening division of 8 teams, for example, 4 come from 20:00 - 21:15pm, playing two matches back-to-back; from 21:15 - 22:30pm, the remaining 4 teams in the division play, again playing two matches.
Results and tables will be posted on the ClubFootball website, and trophies awarded to the winners, runners-up, and MVPs of each division. For a list of winners from the Spring and Summer competitions, please click here
Tournament Format and Rules
All matches will be refereed by a ClubFootball member of staff, and players and teams not competing in the spirit of Fair Play expected by participants will be expelled from the tournament.
- Fixtures: Oct: 15-18th, 22-25th, 29th- Nov 1st, Nov: 5-8th, 12-15th, 19-22nd and 26-29th.
- Structure: Divisions will be arranged according to final positions in the first season of the Autumn 2007 MasterCard ClubFootball 5-a-side League. - Time: Session 1: 20:00 - 21:15pm, Session 2: 21:15 - 22:30pm
- Venues: The artificial 5-a-side pitches, just inside the East Gate of Chaoyang Park, and also at Side Park, near the Lido Hotel. Please see above for details as to which divisions are at which venue.
- Substitutions: Five-a-side teams with a maximum of 9 rolling substitutions
- Format: Games divided into two halves of 15 minutes, with 5 minute break for half-time.
- Promotion / Relegation: At the end of the competition the top two teams in each division are promoted, and the bottom two are relegated.

*Please note: All participating players must be ClubFootball members. THIS MEANS THEY MUST HOLD THE NEW CLUBFOOTBALL COMMUNITY CARD (right). Cards issued for the Autumn 2006 league are valid until 1st Dec 2007, so players who competed in the Spring or Spring/Summer league and registered then do not need to buy another card.
Non members can register before they play their first match. Cost is 25 Rmb per player, which entitles you to ClubFootball membership valid until 1st December 2007.
Members are entitled to discounts at ClubFootball Partner organisations. Please click here for details. The 25 Rmb registration fee goes directly to MasterCard Charity Football Campaign beneficiaries Unicef, China Red Cross, and Huiling.
Players will be required to show their Community Card before playing each match. Players without their card will not be permitted to play, and any teams fielding an unregistered player will automatically forfeit both matches on the night 0-3.
